Before you start:

If there is already a website on your root domain, such as your company's website, please do not redirect the root domain to Landingi's servers and do not hook a landing page on your root domain.
If you do so, then the landing page will “cover” the existing website, and it will not be displayed. Instead, you can redirect a subdomain.

NOTE:
If you already have an existing webpage on your root domain, you cannot publish a landing page in a subfolder/subdirectory (after a path) while hosting your LP on our Landingi servers – take a look here to read about other publishing options

How to redirect your root domain to Landingi?

In this guide, we will use the sample root domain: mydomain.com

1. Log in to the domain management panel (where the domain was bought).

2. Find the DNS records (DNS options).

3. Add 2 new records for the domain mydomain.com

Name: www.mydomain.com
Type: CNAME
Address:  cname.landingi.com.

Name: mydomain.com
Type: A
Address: 174.129.25.170

If you are unsure how records are added to the root domains, contact the domain provider support team to ask for assistance with adding CNAME and A records for the root domain.

REMEMBER!
In some cases, you have to wait between 1 and 24 hours for the records to propagate. You will most likely not be able to see even a landing page correctly assigned to your domain before the records propagation is complete.

4. Now, you can assign the domain to a landing page in the Landingi application. If you need some help with that, take a look here.
