At the beginning, REMEMBER!
If there is already a website on your root domain, for example your company website, please do not redirect the root domain to landingi servers and do not hook a landing page on your root domain.
If you do so, then landing page will “cover” the existing website – it will stop displaying. Instead, you can redirect a subdomain.
If you have already an existing webpage on your root domain, you cannot publish landing page in a subfolder/subdirectory (after a path) while hosting your LP on our Landingi servers – for more information, check article about possible ways of publishing your landing page.
In this guide, we will use the sample root domain: mydomain.com
1. Log into the domain management panel (where the domain was bought).
2. Find the DNS records (DNS options).
3. Add 2 new records for the domain mydomain.com
If you are still not sure how records are added to the root domains, you can contact the domain provider support team to ask to how to add CNAME and A records for the root domain redirection.
In some cases, you have to wait between 1 to 24 hours for the records to propagate. You will most likely not be able to see even a landing page correctly assigned to your domain before the records propagation is complete.
4. Now you can assign the domain to a landing page in the Landingi application.
Please find more information how to do it in this article here.
