TABLE OF CONTENT

If you’re on the lookout for the best Moosend alternative, you’re probably aware of both the strengths and the limitations of the platform. I mean, on the one hand, its powerful e-mail marketing features and an automation toolset that go with reasonable pricing, and, on the other hand, its steep learning curve, slow customer service, and somewhat underdeveloped landing page builder.

In this post, we present the best Moosend alternative for landing page creation in 2024: Landingi! We also compare users’ opinions (analyzed from the top review sites like G2, GetApp and Trustpilot), key features, pros & cons, and pricing of both platforms. In a word, all you need to make a smart choice.

If you are familiar with Moosend, you may just skip to the Landingi section. For a quick overview of key features and rates for both competitors, just take a look below.

With no further ado, let’s get cracking!

Make your sections smartable and let go of mundane manual tasks with Smart Sections! An easy way to manage bulk changes.

Moosend

Moosend, established in 2011 by Yannis Psarras and Panagiotis Mavrommatis, is based in London, United Kingdom. The company specializes in email marketing and automation solutions, aiming to streamline and enhance the effectiveness of digital marketing campaigns. The company has earned numerous awards and recognitions for its impact on the marketing technology landscape, solidifying its reputation as one of the key players in the industry.

What is Moosend?

Moosend is an email marketing and automation platform that enables businesses to create, manage, and optimize email campaigns efficiently. It offers a variety of features such as advanced segmentation, email personalization, marketing automation workflows, and building landing pages. All of these, along with a seamless integration with numerous e-commerce platforms and CRMs, provides a comprehensive solution for marketers aiming to boost engagement and conversion rates.

Why People are Using Moosend?

People are using Moosend due to its broad email automation features, a set of additional digital marketing tools like its built-in landing page creator and, competitive pricing (especially compared to Moosend alternatives for e-mail marketing like, e.g., MailChimp). The complete list of the most significant pros of the platform I’ve encountered analyzing users’ feedback from G2, GetApp, and TrustPilot. Only remarks confirmed by at least a few users are included. Here they are:

  • simple, drag-and-drop interface for creating e-mail and landing pages,
  • impressive marketing automation solutions (creating funnels, workflows, setting triggers, etc.),
  • nice set of e-mail and landing page templates,
  • extensive and well-written learning materials for various digital marketing topics,
  • fair pricing policy (incl. free plan available),
  • kind and helpful support team.

The creation of landing sites, cloud pages, personalized emails, and other associated blocks is quite easy, and there are plenty of support papers accessible to assist with the new solution’s implementation.” (Vignesh D., G2, 28 Nov 2023)

What are Moosend Disadvantages?

Commonly mentioned drawbacks of Instapage on G2, GetApp, and TrustPilot include frequent bugs, a steep learning curve for new users, and limited personalization options in landing page building. The full list comprises the following items:

  • too frequent bugs, glitches and technical issues,
  • learning curve for the effective use of all the platform’s features,
  • not enough templates for emails and landing pages,
  • lack of advanced design customization features for landing pages created in the platform,
  • a significant delay in support responses,
  • only basic analytics (custom events, reports, etc. are unavailable).

Customization and designs for template should be enhanced, which would help me to create and implement my ideas.” (Dhakshinmurthy R., G2, 6 Feb 2024)

Moosend Key Features

Moosend’s key features include email marketing tools, advanced segmentation, advanced automation, analytics, and landing page building. Below, due to the topic of the post, we focus on the latter aspect.

40 Landing Page Templates

In Moosend you can build a landing page from scratch or based on pre-made templates. The library is categorized into four groups: coming soon, ebook, lead generation, and webinar. There is also one super-category “All categories”, where you can find kits for various digital marketing purposes. The navigation through different categories isn’t very clear, but taking into account that there are only 40 kits, you can quickly identify one that suits you best.

On the other hand, the number of templates is relatively low compared to competitors having typically at least 80-100 templates with more diversity among them.

Unfortunately, not all industries are included. Templates for automotive, real estate, medicine, finance and some other popular fields are unfortunately missing.

Most of the kits look fresh and original, but a few would benefit from some refreshments.

Drag-and-drop Landing Page Builder

Landing page builder has a simple drag-and-drop interface, which is easily usable also for newcomers to the page building or even digital marketing realm.

The number of widgets is limited to eleven and they are typical: image, text, button, article, spacer, social share, social media, HTML, timer, video and form. In a word, the same set as in the other builders including all you need in the page construction process.

You can also add sections to your pages, which in Moosend are called “layouts”. They are not fully customizable, as you can choose from some predefined containers divided into specific proportions (full width, half width, 1/3-2/3, 2/3-1/3, 3 x 1/3, 4 x 1/4). Their customization is not so easy. Positioning elements within the containers with drag-and-drop sometimes doesn’t work properly and you must use parameters tab on the right bar.

The customization itself is very easy, yet the options are not as extensive as those in Landingi or Instapage.

Just like most of the Moosend alternatives, the platform also offers a mobile view editor, which, however, leaves much to be desired.

First of all, switching between mobile and desktop viewports isn’t seamless and takes a few seconds. It’s inconvenient, especially if you are used to the quicker operation (in the lion’s share of the landing page platforms, this action is immediate).

Additionally, automatically generated mobile view is often far from perfection and needs many tweaks. Surprisingly, this effect occurs even in the unchanged Moosend’s templates.

You cannot activate or deactivate individual elements on mobile or desktop modes, which also ranks Moosend beneath its competitors.

AI Content Generation

At a glance, Moosend’s AI-driven content generation tool looks promising, as you can use many pre-defined prompts like:

  • improve writing,
  • fix spelling and grammar,
  • make shorter,
  • make longer,
  • summarize.

You can also set the tone of the generated text.

However, testing shows that the tool doesn’t convey real marketing value. It’s similar to the competitors’ AI tools, which are based on integration with Chat GPT without refining its outputs by implementing a set of predefined prompts to make the communication more professional and targeted. Here is the first transformation I obtained with the “make longer” function:

Input: Working is now as intuitive as your own lifestyle“.

Output: <h2><span style=”color: #083145;”><span style=”font-size: 28px;”>Integrating Work and Lifestyle to Enhance Intuition and Efficiency</span></span></h2> <p><span style=”color: #083145;”>In the evolving landscape of the professional world, we are progressively witnessing a shift towards the integration of our work dynamics with the rhythm of our own lifestyle, fostering an environment that nurtures intuition as an integral part of the process. This marks a transformative chapter in the way we approach work, conceiving it as a harmonious extension of our most personal habits and tendencies rather than a separate entity. </span></p>“.

The feature is now in beta version, but it is really hardly usable.

Other Features

Among the advanced features of Moosend, there is also pretty good analytics, which allows you to track and analyze user behaviors like clicks, page visits (including bouncing ones), product views, carts & purchases, and more. One significant omission is the scroll depth tracking, which you can check in tools like Landingi’s EventTracker. You can even set up custom events combining a few of the mentioned items. Another interesting and not obvious feature here is predicting the location & demographics of your audience, which is a nice addition, but the predictions are not as exact as those acquired with, e.g., properly configured Google Analytics.

A significant weak spot is the lack of A/B testing for landing pages. This crucial function is available for email marketing campaigns only.

Obviously, Moosend also has an abundance of features related to email marketing. No wonder, as it’s, first of all, email marketing automation platform. But this is out of the scope of this post, so I can’t expand this more here.

Moosend Integrations

Like similar digital marketing platforms, Moosend can be integrated with numerous apps for various purposes, from contact management systems through CRMs, e-commerce, and lead generation tools to list validation apps. Below are the most popular integrations for each category

  • CMS( WordPress and Drupal),
  • CRMs (e.g. Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho, Pipedrive),
  • e-commerce management (Magento, ThriveCart and others),
  • lead generation software (Elementor, Zendesk, Poptin, Mailchimp, Optimonk, Landingi, Unbounce),
  • list validation tools (e.g. Bouncer, Clearout).

Some of them are not assigned to these categories, for example, GetResponse, Optimizely, Agile CRM and Facebook Ads.

Moosend Pricing & Plans

Moosend goes with four plans: “Free trial”, “Pro“, “Moosend+“, and “Enterprise“. The first one is for free, but only for 30 days. After that, you need to choose one of the paid plans. The second plan’s (“Pro) price depends on the number of subscribers and starts from is for $5.74/month for 0-500 subscribers, while the maximum price is $206.64/month for 25,001-50,000. The highest plans are custom and its price is revealed by sales during the consultation.

Initially, the prices look attractive, but you must be aware that the subscription doesn’t come with unlimited access to the full range of features. Extra actions, especially in e-mail marketing, are available only with additional credits that are paid (from $350 for 350,000 credits to $1000 for 1,000,000 credits).

The higher plans include all the features of the lower plans, which is typical. To check the limits and features available in specific plans, just take a look below:

Landingi – Best Moosend Alternative

For almost 15 years, Landingi has been a significant player in the digital marketing field. It began as a premier page builder and has since expanded its capabilities to encompass a wide array of marketing needs in one platform. Currently, it offers features like digital asset creation (pages, pop-ups, lightboxes), AI-powered content generation, and advanced analytics to optimize conversions based on data.

What is Landingi?

Landingi stands out as a cloud-based platform that facilitates the creation of landing pages, microsites, pop-ups, and other digital marketing assets. It is particularly noted for its easy-to-use drag-and-drop interface, also for users without previous technical expertise. With a range of over 400 templates, A/B testing, event tracking, AI solutions and integration with a wide array of marketing tools, Landingi is one of the key players in the field globally. The platform’s primary goal is to simplify and enhance lead capture, sales generation, and campaign evaluation.

Why People are Using Landingi?

Users choose Landingi for its user-friendly drag-and-drop editor, very extensive customization options, a variety of pre-designed templates, and a comprehensive set of tools like A/B testing, analytics, and evolving AI functionalities, making daily work faster and more effective. Find below a detailed list of the platform’s most significant strengths taken from my research on G2, GetApp, and TrustPilot. Only widely mentioned opinions were considered. Here are the points:

  • versatile, user-friendly page builder, which allows users to create landing pages, microsites, pop-ups, forms, sections, lightboxes, and other similar assets without technical skills,
  • a broad set of conversion-driven templates addressed for many industries and marketing goals,
  • great customer support based on human-to-human interactions (no bots),
  • plenty of built-in user behavior analytics and testing tools for different purposes,
  • competitive pricing with no hidden charges,
  • solutions tailored specifically for agencies and global brands (advanced account management, Smart Sections, upholding top security standards and more),
  • over 170 integrations with other apps and platforms,
  • Continuous development and regular deployment of new functions.

Of all the landing page platforms that I have tried, it is the best, the most complete and that over time has incorporated many improvements. It has great technical support.” (Federico P., 2023, GetApp)

What are Landingi Disadvantages?

There are a few minor drawbacks to Landingi, including the time required to learn the interface and the absence of a built-in email marketing tool (yet, tools for email campaigns are available via integrations). Overall, negative feedback about Landingi is uncommon. Most improvement suggestions are intertwined with generally positive reviews. Here are the most commonly mentioned points (frequency in parentheses):

  • mastering the interface takes a bit of time and effort,
  • the automatically generated mobile view helps streamline processes, but it needs some fine-tuning to achieve optimal effect,
  • the customization options available for video and animation are somewhat limited.

The only minor issue I have with Landingi is that there are too many template options to choose from, which sometimes makes it a bit overwhelming to pick the perfect one” (Verified User, G2, 3 Jun 2024).

Landingi Key Features

Landingi’s key features are an intuitive and very versatile builder (for creating landing pages, microsites, pop-ups, forms, etc.) requiring no coding knowledge, a bunch of analytics and testing tools, as well as a range of AI-driven solutions for content creation, improving SEO and editing images.

Top Landing Page Builder

Landingi’s standout feature is its user-friendly drag-and-drop builder, which provides almost countless customization possibilities. It allows you to design landing pages and many other digital assets from pre-made templates or craft unique ones entirely rooted in your ideas. The available tools for page creation in Landingi encompass:

  • text boxes,
  • forms (with ready-to-use patterns),
  • buttons (also for payments),
  • images, icons, and effects,
  • videos or animations,
  • counters,
  • custom codes, and more.

Similar to Moosend, Landingi offers a set of section templates, which can be applied to any landing page you build. However, compared to Moosendm Landingi covers many more section types. The following ones are included:

  • hero sections,
  • about pages,
  • portfolios,
  • benefits,
  • services,
  • numbers,
  • testimonials,
  • forms,
  • headers,
  • footers,
  • contact details,
  • counters,
  • ebooks,
  • features,
  • opening hours,
  • products,
  • pricing,
  • teams,
  • thank you pages,
  • and videos.

The additional value is the diversity. The kits by Landingi differ from each other much more than those from Moosend. It means you have more creative options for instant use and the creation process is quicker.

Additionally, Landingi offers Smart Sections, a feature that lets you effortlessly enable or modify particular sections across various pages with just one click.

Nest notable feature is Landingi’s mobile view editor, which helps users tailor landing pages for mobile devices to ensure a top-notch visual experience. This tool allows fine-tuning of element sizes, visibility, and placement for a responsive, mobile-optimized design. Furthermore, in Landingi you can obtain a new mobile layout proposal immediately with just one click, which automatizes the process. It’s particularly useful if you’re in a hurry.

Over 400 Templates for Landing Pages, Pop-ups and Sections

Landingi offers a more extensive collection of templates compared to its competitors, featuring over 400 kits for landing pages, pop-ups, and sections. They are all categorized by purpose, industry, and color, allowing users to easily find the perfect match for their needs.

Obviously, users who prefer to build pages from scratch and maintain complete control over every detail can start their project with a blank canvas.

Multi-purpose AI Toolset

Landingi features a suite of advanced AI tools, including a copy generator powered by the latest version of ChatGPT. Unlike the Moosend counterpart, this tool relies on predefined prompts to create a precise and customized copy. By entering key details about your brand, audience, and communication style, you can quickly generate content for your landing pages.

If the initial result isn’t perfect, the ‘regenerate’ option offers an immediate alternative.

The AI Assistant can also be applied to SEO tasks, including the auto-generation and filling in of descriptions and meta descriptions on your pages.

Meanwhile, Landingi is developing AI-driven image editing functions. For now, users can remove and change image backgrounds with a single click. Additional features are to be announced soon.

Harness the power of AI to generate copy, edit images, and improve SEO. All within a single platform.
Save time and get one step closer to perfection.

CRO Solutions

Landingi stands out in the field of conversion optimization, offering a complete suite of tools for testing and analytics. For most marketing campaigns using external tools is then unnecessary, as these on the board are usually sufficient. Landingi offers both tools for performing tests and tracking microconversions, which should give you an in-depth understanding of your audience and allow for making data-driven decisions on the design of your pages. All of this finally results in higher conversion rates. Here are some details about the two most advantageous CRO tools in Landingi:

  • Landingi testing features include not only simple A/B tests but also multivariate and split testing. This way you can determine with data which version of your landing page performs better. Versions may differ from each other in headlines, copy, hero images, backgrounds, and whatever you wish. With testing, you’ll easily identify which page elements influence the most conversion rate of your pages. It enables you to make data-based improvements to generate more conversions.
  • EventTracker, on the other hand, offers in-depth tracking of user activities on the page, such as button clicks, scrolling, and video interactions, providing essential insights for site analytics. It’s a strong alternative to Google Analytics for landing pages as it overcomes many of GA4’s limitations (e.g., multi-step configuration, reliance on third-party cookies, manual event creation, lack of visual maps, and human support). To see which events can be tracked with this tool, view the image below.

Naturally, if you are sticked to analytics by Google, you can connect it to Landingi with ease.

However, if you prefer straightforward tools, you can also use dashboards and charts to monitor page visits, conversion rates, and other key actions users take on your landing pages.

What is EventTracker

Solutions Crafted for Agencies and Global Brands

For agencies, enterprises, and global companies, the primary benefits are scalability and efficient management. These features encompass handling a large volume of pages, customizing workflows, and leveraging advanced account management.

Landingi’s agency suite supports the creation of numerous sub-accounts for different clients, campaigns, and site types. Each sub-account is managed with flexible permissions and intuitive dashboards, facilitating efficient and organized management.

For those who need to create multiple landing pages or websites, Landingi offers specialized features:

  • With Smart Sections, you can update several landing pages at once by modifying a single section and saving it. The updates will automatically appear on all pages that include that section. This feature is highly useful for broad-scale marketing campaigns or managing multiple sales pages, saving considerable time on updates.
  • The dynamic content feature supports programmatic SEO by delivering varied content to different audiences. For instance, visitors from colder regions might see winter apparel like coats and boots, while those from warmer areas see summer clothes like shorts and tank tops. This ensures that users see relevant products, boosting engagement and sales.

Rock-Solid Infrastructure and Optimal Performance

To ensure top-tier website security and usability, Landingi utilizes Amazon Web Services. The platform integrates vital security features, including two-factor authentication and the latest Re-Captcha technology, along with regular penetration tests by independent cybersecurity experts. This thorough security framework guarantees solid protection and peak performance, establishing Landingi as a reliable platform for prominent global companies like:

  • Sony,
  • Warner Bros,
  • Opera,
  • Nationale-Nederlanden,
  • DAT,
  • PayU,
  • CBRE,
  • foodWell.

Landingi Integrations

Landingi supports connections with over 170 tools, making it suitable for businesses that use a broad range of marketing software. The most popular tools it integrates with include (names filtered by the software type):

  • email marketing tools (GetResponse, Klaviyo, MailChimp, SendFox, Freshmail, ActiveCampaign, Constant Contact, etc.),
  • marketing CRM systems (HubSpot, Salesforce, Keap, Pipeline, CRM, Zoho, Brevo, ConvertKit, Firmao, Thrive Coach and others),
  • ecommerce platforms (WooCommerce, BigCommerce, Chargify, PayPal, Stripe and more),
  • live chat support and customer contact services (e.g., Freshchat, Zendesk, Intercom, Convolo, WhatsApp),
  • software for analytics (Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Pinterest Tag, Crazy Egg, Hotjar, Campaign Monitor, Piwik PRO, Mixpanel, TikTok Pixel),
  • digital ad platforms (Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising, etc.),
  • other apps for managing calendars, SMS marketing, security, collecting reviews, etc. (Calendly, Booksy, Zapier, ClickSend, Excel, Gmail, Spotify, Drip, Slack, reCAPTCHA, Airbnb, Trustpilot, and much more).

Landingi Pricing & Plans

Currently, Landingi has four plans. The ‘Free‘ plan is at no cost forever, the ‘Lite‘ costs $29 monthly ($290 if paid upfront for a year), the ‘Professional‘ plan – $69 monthly (but $684 per year if paid upfront), and the ‘Unlimited‘ plan is for $990 per month ($9840 if paid annually). The first two plans come with a free trial, allowing you to access all the page creation tools without any initial cost.

Every plan includes a set of features, with key ones outlined below. The higher plans incorporate all the features of the cheaper ones.

  • lead generation advisory,
  • official partnership.

If the basic plans don’t cover your traffic or domain requirements, you can purchase additional packages from the add-on store. The store also offers many other useful features to aid your daily tasks.

Why Landingi is Best Moosend Alternative?

Landingi is the best Moosend alternative for its awesome landing page builder with countless customization options and over 400 templates for different assets, as well as for more seamless operation and fewer bugs, more developed AI tools, and, finally, more advanced page optimization tools.

Of course, you can combine both tools for even better results. By integrating the strengths of an e-mail marketing platform and top-notch landing page builder, you gain the power of an almost self-sufficient digital marketing ecosystem.

If you, however, choose between two landing page builders, Landingi presents much more value.

Anyway, I suggest testing both platforms on your own before buying a paid subscription, especially since both offer free trial periods (in Landingi you can also start from a free plan).
