To publish your landing page to your subdomain you need to add it to your account, redirect it via the DNS records and assign it to your landing page. A free Let's Encrypt SSL certificate will be automatically installed for your subdomain when you add it to your account.

This guide will show you how to set up a domain registered via IONOS by 1&1. Before you manage the DNS records, add the domain in Landingi.

Access the DNS management zone

1. Log in to your 1&1 IONOS account.

2. Go to the My Products section and select Domains & SSL.

3. You have to first create a subdomain to redirect it to Landingi. Click on Add subdomain under the Quick Links menu.

4. Type in a subdomain name. Click on Save.

5. Click the gear icon under Actions next to the subdomain you want to redirect and select DNS.

Redirecting a subdomain – other than www

Select Add Record, then click on the CNAME type.

Edit the Host Name field and copy the Target value. Paste the values to your CNAME record.

  • Name: type in your new subdomain name, e.g., home for home.yourdomain.com
  • Dot: add a dot at the end of the Target value
Type CNAME

Host Name:
subdomain

Target:
 cname.landingi.com.

Click Save.

Redirecting a www subdomain

Before you start, read tips on redirecting a www subdomain with A and CNAME records.

Add new A and CNAME records. If you already have the A record or a www CNAME record, edit their values.

Click on Add Record, then select the A type and later the CNAME type.

Copy and paste the following values:

  • Dot: add a dot at the end of the Target value
Type A

Host Name:
@

Points to:
 174.129.25.170
Type CNAME

Host Name:
 www

Target:
 cname.landingi.com.

Finish the configuration in Landingi

When you're ready, go back to Landingi and click on Confirm/Finish.

Once you've added the subdomain to your account, our system will verify whether the DNS redirections have been done correctly. During this time, an hourglass icon will be visible next to the domain with the information that the domain is being verified. Usually, the domain will be active a few hours after adding it, but the total waiting time depends on the number of domains in our system waiting in the queue to install the certificate. We will email you when the domain is installed correctly.

A green globe icon indicates an active domain. You can assign it to your landing page.
